Aplicaciones esenciales

  • CherryTree: A hierarchical note taking application, featuring rich text and syntax highlighting. Excelent!
  • ChmSee: ChmSee is an HTML Help viewer for Unix/Linux. It is based on CHMLIB and uses GTK2+ as frontend toolkit. Because of using gecko as the HTML rendering engine, it can support rich features of modern HTML page, such as CSS and JavaScript.
$ sudo aptitude install chmsee
  • Font Manager: Font Manager is not intended to be a professional-grade font management solution, but rather a simple application suitable for the needs of most desktop users, and even some graphics designers who may need to manage just a few thousand font files.
  • jhead: jhead is a command line driven utility for extracting digital camera settings from the Exif format files used by many digital cameras. It handles the various confusing ways these can be expressed, and displays them as F-stop, shutter speed, etc.
 $ jhead -mkexif *.jpg --> Create minimal EXIF header
  • BleachBit: BleachBit deletes unnecessary files to free valuable disk space, maintain privacy, and remove junk. Rid your system of old clutter including cache, cookies, Internet history, localizations, logs, temporary files, and broken shortcuts.
  • AutoScan-Network: AutoScan-Network is a network discovering and managing application. No configuration is required to scan your network. The main goal is to print the list of connected equipments in your network.
  • Déjà Dup: Déjà Dup is a simple backup program. It hides the complexity of doing backups the 'right way' (encrypted, off-site, and regular) and uses duplicity as the backend.
  • Gwibber: Gwibber is an open source microblogging client for GNOME developed with Python and GTK. It supports Twitter, Jaiku, Identi.ca, Facebook, and Digg.
  • HardInfo: HardInfo can gather information about your system's hardware and operating system, perform benchmarks, and generate printable reports either in HTML or in plain text formats.
  • Meld: Diff and merge tool.
  • AcetoneISO: Tired of manually mounting ISO under Linux? Tired of not knowing how to manage esotic image formats? AcetoneISO2 is here for you! Vote it!
$ sudo aptitude install phatch
